Objectives

The overall objective of the course is to provide students with the knowledge needed to develop — during and after their training — the skills and attitudes that will help maximize their chances of success in the massage therapy industry. We will encourage creativity and innovation so that students can explore innovative solutions to entrepreneurial challenges.

In addition to theoretical concepts, students will create a business model, practice their sales pitch, and begin drafting their business plan.

Course Content

• Understand the steps involved in starting a business
• Complete an initial business model
• Learn how to develop a business plan (market research, marketing plan, operations, finances)
• Improve sales and customer service skills (market segmentation, value proposition, sales pitch)
