Once again, our director Sukha is heading back to Thailand in January 2027. She is invited as a guest teacher by our friends at the Sunshine Massage School in Chiang Mai and would love to meet you there.
Sukha will teach 2 classes:
- Thai Massage Using the Feet : January 18 to 21, 2027
- Sen Therapy Workshop: Structural Energy Lines : January 25 to 29, 2027
To attend these classes, you must register directly through the Sunshine School.
Make sure your flight lands at least one day before your class starts. Sukha will be available to meet up in Chiang Mai during the following period.

Flights to Chiang Mai
Book your flight as soon as possible.
As of June 2026, a roundtrip flight from Montreal to Chiang Mai in January 2027 starts at around $2,000 CAD. Shop around using search engines like SkyScanner.ca or your favourite booking app/website.
There is an airport in Chiang Mai but there might not be a direct flight from where you are coming from. Depending on your budget and how you want to get there, pay attention to flight durations and multiple layovers.
No tourist Visa is needed for Canadians and Americans (US). Please verify with your country of residence outside of Canada and United States.
Visiting Chiang Mai
Chiang Mai, located in Northern Thailand, is a lovely, safe and clean town with lots of cool things to do and see. The fortified part of it, referred to as the Old City, forms a square surrounded by ancient walls and moats. It’s easy to get around in the old city, and walking from one edge to the other takes about 35 minutes. (See on Google Maps)
Getting Around Chiang Mai
- From Chiang Mai airport to Old City: $1-$18 (city bus, tuktuk, songthaew/red cars, Uber or taxi)
- Around the Old City: Free! Everything is within walking distance
Accommodations in Chiang Mai

Here is what you can expect to pay depending on your budget and the Chiang Mai area you choose:
Best value: Guest houses, 3 stars and up

Here are a few pointers:
- Select your dates (make sure you land at least a day prior to the start of your course).
- Narrow down the results by targeting the best neighbourhood (“Old Town”, “Old City”, “Tha Phae”).
- Choose your currency and set your budget.
- Look at the other filters (star-rating, amenities) and select the ones important to you! Sometimes, breakfast is included.
- Establishments using the word “Boutique” in their name or description are usually more modern and clean.
- Read the reviews left by previous clients.
- Pay attention to rental policies. Some places allow you to cancel for free.
- Hurry up to book! The rates and availabilities change quickly!

To enjoy the liveliest area of Chiang Mai, go for the eastern half of the old city (in pink below). It’s a pleasant neighbourhood, close to everything. Light pink areas are also good options.
