HYBRID FORMULA! Follow along our pre-recorded theory modules online. In-person attendance is only required for palpation reviews and exams.
Prerequisites: Thai Massage Level 1
Objective
To give students a basic understanding of anatomy of the human body and how it relates to bodywork. By the end of the course, students will know the names and locations of 150+ bones and muscles, their origin and insertion points, muscle fiber direction and actions. Through palpation clinics and self discovery, you will feel confident to apply this knowledge to your bodywork techniques.
Course content
We will learn about Body Mechanics and movement, the skeleton and articulations of the body, as well as muscles and muscle groups you are working on with bodywork.
Every Module offers: a pre-recorded video presentation, Powerpoint notes, and a quiz.
Also included: 2 “Palpation Reviews”, which are full days of review in person to integrate the material and learn to palpate structures on a real body.
Evaluation: You will be graded on 2 in-person written exams and 2 palpation exams.
